The Hidden Fortress, Ran, Rashomon, Seven Samurai. I like samurai movies (at least ones with Toshiro Mifune)

I jsut checked out a highly recommended movie called The Celebration...it's non-American title is Festen. It was demented. Great movie. Lots of dark humor and deep emotions.

i like Jet Li's Fearless-the newest one and hero( chinese films)
both the movies are awesome and have good plots.hero was in 2002 and Fearless is in the 2nd place at yahoo box office.
i think they are must see movies

Night Watch, that is a gr8 movie, there is action, suspense and cool effects. its a german movie but it has been voiced over in english for all of u that cant speak german.
