Yes, you could definitely be pregnant. You tested a little early (on cycle day 27) and should test again now. If it still shows up negative a doctor can give you a blood test (more sensitive and accurate). If this is negative as well and you still haven't gotten your period, your doctor will help you discover what the underlying cause is.
Hope this helped!!

I've never quite had a regular period. Sometimes girls never get regular periods. If you had a regular one, keep in mind there are MANY things that can contribute to you having a late period.
- Stress
- Medication
- Changes in eating habits
- Changes in daily routines
- Changes in physical activity
- Being sick
- Weight loss
- Weight gain
When having sex there is always a possibility of getting pregnant, just don't look up symptoms because your mind will fool you into thinking you have them. Just think back in this past month and see if any of these apply. Also, take another home pregnancy test in about a week-2 weeks.

Depending on when your very first period was you could still be having irregular periods. If it was years ago, then you should be having then regularily. If you became physically active (started working out, playing sports, etc) then that can also make your periods irregular. I would wait another couple of days and take another hpt. Make you you follow the directions correctly.

a visit to planned parenthood is in order. If you are on birthcontrol it might need an adjustment. I don't suppose the spotting was associated with intercourse....if so it might be break through bleeding which could mean you have a major problem that can be fixed with a different method or higher dose of birthcontrol pills.

lindsey, i went through the same thing...more than likely you arent pregnant....because i wasnt...but still go to your doctor...you are still at the age to where your peirod is weird so it will change...also....certain activites that you do will cause your period to not come on regular...certain things would be stress, playing sports, and your diet...they will cause your period to skip a week, sometimes even a month...so just dont freak out or anything....just go to planned parenthood and get a test done.

Think you should see your Doctor and not ask an audience of people that are only forming opinions about you as a 17 year old and not married nor have you completed your education . WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ? May God Bless you in this endeavor . you have a long journey .

I think you are pregnant.... sometimes hpt doesn't get accurate results.... if you had unprotected sex the chances of being pregnant are very high.....
take a new hpt... if the result comes out negative.... go to see a doctor....... If it comes out positive talk to your parents...

go to the doctor and take test. u can go to a free or women's clinic. if u r not on birth control yes u could be pregnant. y aren;t u on bc? did yall use condoms. u are old enough to get bc without your parents permission. wise up sweetie. protect yourself. planned parenthood is a good place to go everything is on the hush. if you are not ready to talk to your folks about sex maybe u should not be doing it. good luck. get to the doctor ASAP

LINDSEY, SWEETHEART , 1 THING I CAN SAY FROM EXPIERENCE IS DON'T JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS BECAUSE THE MIND PLAYS TRICKS. TRUE IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU MAY BE PREGNANT , TRY ANOTHER TEST, DIFFERENT BRAND AND SEE IF THE RESULTS ARE THE SAME. I DO KNOW THAT IF U CONSTANTLY THINK ABOUT COULD AFFECT YOUR CYCLE... IT'S A MIND THING
