Why the heck are most male superheroes over 6 feet in height??

Well, even aside from the considerations of being on the average stronger than short people, they are more imposing (get cowardly, superstitious criminals to surrender without fighting) and inspire more public confidence (can quiet civil unrest and emergency panic situations without excessive use of their powers)-- I say, even aside from these same reasons that justify the police and millitary choosing recruits over six feet tall, you must also remember that most of those gorgeous superheroines are also over six feet tall, and short heroes are quietly laughed out of business.

Because supposedly 6 feet tall is the average height for a male. Since they are supposed to be above average, they generally try to make them above average in everything. Including height and appearance. Not always though.

There is one superhero who is very short-The Atom! As Ray Palmer,he stands about 6 feet tall,but when he hits the button on his belt,he shrinks to about 6 inches tall! But for someone so small,he packs a big punch!!
