We're doing a production of "the Wizard of Oz". So far for the flying monkeys, we have a black spandex/body armor top, wings and whatnot, but we're at a loss for what to have for the bottoms. We are refraining from using spandex pants. Help?

just use black tights, you know panty hose or just plain old black jeans!

Do you have a color besides black that's going to be associated with the witch -- whether it's the skin tone or something in the set? I would use that color in a loose pant tucked into boots.

well, i think they might look kinda cool if you were to have them dress a bit like medieval jesters. what about fashioning some shorts, that have elastic around the leg holes - that are billowy. Sort of along the lines of what they used to put on babies, like rubber pants over the diaper -- only in some fancy fabric, like lame. remember, the character -- they are obnoxious, but they are sent on orders of their mistress - who is on the dark side, but viewed as "queenly" nonetheless. As her agents, they should have some element of royalty. And don't forget to stick little fez's on their heads! you can fashion them out of a large styrofoam coffee cup, inverted, glue red felt over cup, insert elastic chin strap to hold in place. have fun!

sure, I do-this "city decrease than the impact of alcohol" that lives close to my community! And, this guy I paintings with appears like that squid guy off of "Futurama", our cleansing lady appears like a turtle, and my workplace cohabitant in specific circumstances appears like one among those toddler birds, that has no feathers-pathetic and fugly!! And my boss appears like the Kool help guy. not common to think of, yet once you basically worked right here!!

Our school did this production and they wore a baggy type pant, but it was a lil tapered at the ankle so they dont trip!

The origional monkies, much like Donald duck, didn't have pants! They had helmits, multi colored vests, blue fur, hairy butts, BUT, no pants.
So, artistiic/poetic licence...well, you give them what ever pants you wish. It isbetter than naked furry behinds!

Call MC Hammer and see if he'll let you look through his wardrobe, I am sure you could find something suitable there

i would go with some lederhosen. unless, of course they are Swedish monkeys. then just short pants with suspenders.
