From what I understand, first you need to start weaning yourself off caffiene (if you even drink it), then do something relaxing, like reading a book - I find that reading a book written by Eleanor Roosevelt about her life with Franklin D. is really good at putting my lights out quickly. I discovered this book in high school and when I have trouble sleeping this is what I read. The sad part about this is that Eleanor was a very fascinating woman and her son's writing is excellent.

Yea, and you probably have the same problem I do.....this Yahoo! Answers thing keeps me up half the night! :) But seriously, Tylenol Simply Sleep works pretty good. If you don't have any or can't get any right now, then try cookies and milk. A full stomach is a good recipe for sleep.

I grab a blanket and pillow and hit the couch.Turn the T.V. on low(something you don't want to get interested in), and lay down and sleep. This works for me.Sometimes try another bed if possible.
No caffeine before bed.
Milk may help.Take a shower or bath.
Tylenol PM.

Good luck.I hate not being able to go to sleep when I want.

Most of the time, I just watch tv until I sleep, or I read.

Reading usually does it for me. I like to curl up in bed with a good book and wait for my eyes to get heavy. It's a nice way to drift off to sleep sometimes.

I have a hard time sleeping too.

Sometimes soft music helps.

My cat, Moses purrs in my ear and he puts me to sleep. He is so sweet.
