I speak french, my husband english and we live in mexico city (the boy is learning spanish), what are we supposed to do? we try to speak spanish at home most of the time, but sometimes we use english and french

English and Spanish are the two languages every person should know if it's available to them. Teach your son French as a 3rd language.

I would speak English in the house and allow him to learn Spanish outside the home. Being bilingual is great in the world we live in...

I grew up with a girl that spoke spanish only at home and English at school. She speaks both languages fluently! I was always impressed by her.

I would just let him understand the Spanish language very well so he wouldn't have problems at school, then I would teach the other languages once he got to like 2nd or 3rd grade.

If you plan on doing it at all, Right now is the time. Their little minds are like sponges. They want to learn at that age.
