You can get a turbo for the engine, but why would you buy a Honda Accord if you wanted speed or power? Trade it in for something with at least a V6 motor! If you want to save $$ Try increasing the intake or replacing the mufflers with something a little more free flowing for minimal $$ and minimal increase in power.

Acceleration depends on your horsepower to weight ratio. It costs a lot of money to add horsepower. It only takes a little brains and work to remove weight. Start with the spare tire, jack, excess fuel. It depends on how extreme you want to be. Take out the carpet, the head liner, the door panels. Remember, every ounce you take out is a fraction of a second faster in the quarter mile.
If you are fat, then drop as much weight as you can. !5 pounds off your butt will equal a 1200 dollar turbo-charger.

Well this is me.... i would try and buy a civic... get a double overhead cam vtec or an acura integra swap... with you having an accord you can get some spending money for a civic... then swap your civic engine with a dohc or buy a civic SI and you might break even... you will be killer with that little engine... then you can buy headers, cat, muffler, cold air intake, dry nos and have a car that can beat a mustang.... then you can tell those people who say swap it with a V8 to race you.

everything - cost money. ignore the mustang guy. Your question depends on what motor you have h22 or f23? f23 not a wide variety of parts. intake, exhuast, more fuel , turbo, nitrous there are many upgrades you can do. All cost money. the faster you want to go the more money your going to spend.
