My daughter would ask the same thing...and she was a real beauty...think they were intimidated by her. She's in high school now and met a whole new class of people and has a lot more confidence and sometimes you just gotta get out there and have fun with things and not take it all too seriously. Have fun with the fast ones, make the girls laugh and then just get out there and ask 'em.

I always did too, but then the prom queen mysteriously disappeared one summer night. They say her ghost still lingers in the girls bathroom and will kill any sophomores who are dumb enough to go in alone on prom night when the moon is full and Larry King Live is showing reruns. Sometimes all the toilet paper vanishes...the dumb skank is STILL stuffing her bra.

Some people are uncomfortable slow dancing if they aren't familiar with you. Let them know you won't mind if they step on your toes. (or will you?)
