If a guy drinks or gets high wouldn't that effect his sperm? How often does a man produce sperm? I was under the impression he made it as needed. Thus, after he ejaculated he'd produce more. My husband says it is constantly reproducing. Then my question is where does it go if it isn't used? you can't just pee it out.

Weed isn't the drug in question. I was thinking more like codine. Perscription drugs that a doctor or dentist might provide. I just thought that it would effect the baby if that is the sperm to knock me up.

Semen is generally produced as dictated by the demand for it and the available resources in the body (nutrients). If a man is in poor health, his reproductive system will suffer. (Obviously none of the popular recreational drugs [alcohol, tobacco, marijana, etc] are good for anything and will cause problems all over the body. Even some foods [like foods rich in soy] are suspect. Prescription drugs may or may not be harmful, but I would say that the less drugs one needs to take the better things are. Just about everything has a side-effect.)
Now, sperm is produced constantly; however, I have read that the body recycles dead or old sperm that is not ejaculated if possible. But when the testicles are "full" it is difficult not to have some sort of emission of semen. The need to ejaculate is not quite as urgently necessary as the need to urinate, for example. I have read that is not good to completely abstain from ejaculation for long periods of time (think many days or a few weeks) because toxins in the body tend to build up. But the testicles certainly will not explode if there is no ejaculation; a combination of reabsorption of old semen and slight involuntary emissions will ensure that no injury can occur.
It is somewhat uncomfortable to suddenly change the frequency of ejaculation, as the body needs time to really adapt well. An increase in frequency could leave the testes feeling drained, and a sudden stop (after a prolonged period of high-frequency activity) can make them feel full to the point of very slight discomfort. most drugs and alcohol have adverse effect on sperms... and a man constantly produces sperms in his testiclesand this continues till he dies... the sperms are then stored in the epididymis... its is only ejaculated when there is sufficient stimulation to the penis... if it isn't ejaculated then it is reabsorbed into the man's body...

Yes it does, in fact what we eat even affects its taste. Eating citrus fruits or lots of confectionary affect the taste. Eating more zinc improves sperm dramatically but getting high or drinking alcohol does affect his fertility.

If a guy gets high, it causes his spearm count to decrease. Your husband is correct. Sperm is always beind produced and when it isnt used, it is stored in the testicals.

Yes how you take care of yourself does influence the quality of your offspring. I've been learning about it in Psychology. If you do drugs then that can inversely affect the wellbeing of your birthed child later in life. Whether it be a learning disablity or even a birth defect. As for where it goes, it doesnt. It builds up. I know a person who didnt masturbate due to religious reasons. After a while, he let it build up so much that he had to go to a physician to have it drained.

oh yeah...........pot is not good, drugs in general make it taste pretty nasty.
Pineapple juice is the answer.....drink it, everyday, its good for her!
It builds up in there sweety, it is constantly produced. If its not released it is slowly reabsorbed by the body. However, often blue nads ensue.......be kind, have him make love to you everyday! And stock up on pineapple juice!

That's an odd question. First of all, if you are trying to have kids I would make him stop smoking and drinking - for a while at least until he knocks you up. Secondly, men will always find ways to get rid of their sperm...in the shower...in you...on the couch pillows, wherever. It never goes unaccounted for.
