Someone put together my computer for me. Sometimes the cursor just wanders off without me moving my mouse. Sometimes I think they set it up so they could see all my info, what I type, what I search, etc.

You do have a trojen You are being Hi-jacked by someone.
Here what I do if I was you.
Update your antivirus- If you just have one of them free one
GOTO:
http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/downloads/default.mspx
Download Computer Assosiate 1 year antivirus

Download Window Defender anti-spyware or Ad-aware SE whichever you choose but I would say the defender is more user friendly.

If you don't have Window XP SP2-Goto Download.com and download a firewall Call Zone Alarm...

All these are free But what you need to know is you alway need three thing to keep this from happening
WIndows Updates
Virus Protection
Spyware Span weekly

Scan your computer for viruses, wose case you find something, best case at least you know your PC is clean.

I use an optic mouse and sometimes my cursor will "slide" or move on its own...most likely from dust or not being on a leve surface. I do not have any viruses.

You might check to see if you have any dust in the ball housing of your mouse and clean your mouse pad as well. If you are using an optic mouse clean the lighted area on the bottom of the mouse. If neither of thouse work spen 10 buck on a new mouse. Cant hurt.

Good luck

Doesn't sound like a virus. It sounds like spyware. Someone may have remote control of your pc. Go to another PC and download Ad-aware SE. Then install it on your pc. Reboot the computer with F8 into safe mode. From there run the scan.

And for god sake, unplug the pc from the internet....

You have a virus, adware or spyware! Download AVG anti virus its free and AdAware SE personal for spyware and adware it's free also. If this doesn't fix your problem you'll need to take it to a computer tech to get it removed. You also need to get a firewall in place if your going to be hooked up to the internet.

NEVER vacuum your computer as Linuxiac said to do. The static that it creates will ruin your computer.

Yeah however the only way i be attentive to is to do one after the different which on your case might take for ever so which you would be able to easily make it so once you plug your ipod into your computing gadget iTunes would not delete your songs you have already got on your iPod, my sister does it all of the time.

I would guess a lost soul trapped in your computer is trying to reach out to you. It is trying to communicate by moving your cursor. Contact a psychic expert who will lead you in a seance to speak with this dead spirit.
