In mathematics
Thirteen is the 6th smallest prime number;

In religion
The number of participants at the Last Supper

In science
The atomic number of aluminium

Thirteen is regarded as an unlucky number in many cultures. One (probably unverifiable) hypothesis holds that 13 is a reflection of the human fear of the unknown, since it is the first number that cannot be enumerated using our 10 fingers and 2 feet.

Unreasoned fear of the number 13 is termed triskaidekaphobia.

No, it is a very naughty number. I left it alone with 56 once, on a math homework -- just for a few minutes I swear! -- and when I came back they'd been smoking drugs, and were fooling around together.

Some say 56 was to blame, but that's just liberal hogwash.

"Good" is a 'value' term. 13 is as 'good' as any other number.
