I would have a quick skim around to see if anybody is close by (as someone could of just gone for a quick pee in the bushes or something) but thats' if i was planning on nabbing it but realistically if it was me I would leave it and let someone else help themselves to it, i'm not really too much of a bike rider myself so i wouldn't be interested.

Abandoned or left there briefly while the owner takes a nature call? No matter the reason, it's not your bike so HANDS OFF!

take it to the loacl police department, and put an add in the paper for a lost Mountain Bike. It's the right thing to do.

I'd probably take it and turn it over to the police (and some detective's delinquent brat would subsequently have a damned nice bike but at least my conscience is clear).

look for some identification numbers or an identifiable feature. then hang up a sign or take out an ad for a found bike. make the person describe it to me before releasing it. have to weed out the fakers.

I would take it home and hold it there for a couple of weeks just to make sure no one comes forward to claim it and then I would take it to the next town and sell it for some nice $$$,considering it looked worth all the trouble.

I'd leave it. It is either stolen, or someone will come back for it. Besides, riding a bike at my age could be dangerous.

I would take it to the police department, or make some fliers, never know the person it belongs to may give you a reward for finding it. I think that's better than taking it and later the owner seeing you, quite embarassing!!!!!!!!!

Report it to the police , if it can't be claimed maybe then you could keep it . Or take it and try to find the owner yourself with a add in the paper.
