The opportunity to meet other musicians that have the same passion for music as you do! And maybe learn something new. I love going to band camp! And making new friends!

my daughter went (willingly!) many years to band camp. it gave her an edge over the other players that sat home and didn't practice. she learned new techniques, leadership and ended up being one of the drum majors.
