It all depends on what you deem classic. A 1991 Mercury Grand Marquis, to some is considered a classic already, being the last of the "box body" Pather platformed cars (Panther platform is the Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis,Town Car ,frame designation has been since the 70's and still is).

Some may argue a car is not classic unless it is X amount of years old, or base it on its popularity. Others call a classic a car from their generation.

I personaly am a fan of the Panthers so I consider yours a classic. A Chevy fan may disagree.

30 years in Arkansas for it to be an antique. My 1957 Volkswagon and 1970 Ford pickup both qualify. Some organizations have different rules from state motor vehicle agencies concerning Antique or Classic. Check out the Popular Mechanix web sites for specific vehicle listings.

It is not only the year of a car but the appeal of the car as well. Some cars like the 64 Ford Mustang were instant classics. As were the original Vette and the 57 T-Bird.
