Tenacious le grande - complex war - yes
Being UNITED against the ENEMY - simple.

We do not and will not agree about other things...that's a given.

We should stand together, because it is unpatriotic and traitorous to not support our OWN troops at war. But with all the whining, crying, and mud-slinging its hard to hear anything else.

Joe D, infighting and bickering internally, strengthens our enemies externally. Where do you get that there was NO terrorists in Iraq until we invaded? What are you smoking? What is Saddam? YOU are the know-it-all that is confused.Sorry........

The liberals have too much hate for the President. They feel we can all just sit down together, us and the terrorists, by a campfire and roast marshmallows and think nice thoughts, and we'll all be friends in the morning. They are consumed with making the President look bad. I can't figure out any other reason but that when the libs in the media undermine the war effort by printing classified secrets. I'm all for a united front. Being a Conservative also means I'm a realist, and that means I ain't holding my breath.

Although I love your positive attitude about this and your "team effort", I feel that it is easier said than done. We are talking about WAR here. I'm afraid you have no concept of what that means. This is not cops and robbers.

* You say Terrosit are our ENEMY (true). Then why Iraq? And why is Terroism worse than before? It's just not that simple. Sorry

Yes it is to much to ask, when a government gets so oppressive the people have a right and duty to revolt. This administration has completely trashed the constitution in the name of terror, the only thing that I do agree with is to bring the troops home. They have done their job and it is up to the Iraqi people to decide what kind of government that they want to rule them. They will never support a puppet government set up by George Bush.

Conditionally. What is your definition of terrorist? The detainees in Gitmo, 70-90% of which are likely innocent civilians? Iraq, which had no terrorist problem until we invaded and occupied their country? How about Pakistan, who is likely playing games with us regarding Bin Laden and the remainder of the Taliban? Are protesting liberals considered terrorists?

And Diana, stop confusing supporting a corrupt adminsitration with supporting the trops. It is not the same. I know of no one who does not support our troops, regardless of party.

Actually, I was in favor of this a few months ago and I even suggested it, as you have now. The trouble is---if you read all the answers you received and you can determine the political philosophy of most, you will see that the liberals make it impossible. They will be pulling against the USA until doomsday. I'm not sure some of them are not terrorists fanning the flames of hatred.
