Funny, during the Viet Nam war under the Democrat Johnson. People were complaining about the same thing because of the Draft. Only the wealthy could afford to get college deferments and many of the wealthy were Liberals. Why do you think the academia is so far to the left today?

Whereas today: Every soldier, sailor, marine or airmen is in the military for their own choice.

BYW, I had 12 years in the Army and left to become a Cop and am now retired.

Get some guts and defend your freedom before some Islam Fascist blows you up.

I'm a supporter of GW and I'm too old to volunteer or I would. I am also poor, and I was raised in a poor family. I spent 20 years and 9 months in the USA military. I was in Korea when it was hot. Don't you start this BS because you probably have not spent a day in the armed forces. You are probably a "Canadian-American citizen"

I did! I also served while clinton was in office. The only reason I'm not serving now is due to medical problems. By the way, I'm not from appalachia.

Hey wing nut, the majority of servicemen voted Republican. That's why Gore wanted to have their absent tee ballots disqualified in 2000. Hence, Republicans are fighting for Bushes policies (the same policies the majority of Democrats voted to support).
