With your weight going up and down by as much as 15 lbs and periods lasting for 3 weeks and starting college I am guessing that the most probable cause is that you are under a whole lot of stress right now. Sometimes periods can be extremely irregular - skipping periods - or 1 week on and 1 week on and a couple of weeks on again during emotional stress. But as a college student you do have a wonderful resource available to all students and that is the campus health clinic. If you or your parents have insurance they will happily take your card. If you do not, then they may charge only a nominal fee if anything at all. If this is a very small college and they do not have a health clinic on campus, then you could go to planned parenthood (they do provide girl exams all the time and on virgins too ) or a medi-clinic.

That happened to me when I had a miscarriage. I didn't even know that I was pregnant, but I miscarried and bled for about 4-5 weeks. You mentioned college in your question. Does the college have a health clinic? Or a med school that would be looking for students to evaluate? I think it is important that you find some way to be seen by a medical professional. Good Luck

Actually, you have two things going for you, your broke and your a student. There is so much financial aid for those that find themselves in need of help. I 've been there not to long ago and people would tell me the same thing and I didn't believe them. I had my pride and was not going to take "charity". But your health is not something you can afford to neglect, you have to do your best at school, to get that $$$ job, right? Visit the local county health dept. and tell them your situation they have so many resources it'll make your head swim!

Go to a doctor sorry about the no money thing but this is not normal and you need to seek medical attention there could be something serious going on here. Get well and best wishes.

Visits to the campus clinic are free for students (part of your student fees). You should go see a doctor for a quickie checkup.
Besides, family or friends would gladly lend you the money if your health is at stake, right?

Have you gained any weight in the midsection? Sometimes that happens when women gain weight, but there are other possible causes. You need to see an ob/gyn or your family doctor.

I think you might just have to find a way to afford it.

It doesnt sound too good.

If you let it go on it might end up costing alot more and your health down the track.

You must see a doctor -- go to a clinic, a community hospital, (these places can't refuse you service for non-payment). You should not let this go.
