I have PCOS too, I found out 19, Honestly I dont think Nioxin helps, but I like the tingly feeling! I am like you and could stay in bed all day...but I too have severe depression and I wonder if the two are a bad combination of sleepy-ness........I have been in for blood work like 3 times because I show all the symptoms of diabetes, but the test always comes back normal...Have you tried like taking multi vitamins??

hi...i have had pcos and endometriosis since i was 17..im 22 now...i get days when i feel i could happily sleep forever and most days generally feel lethargic..i would advise you 2 ask ur doc 2 arrange more blood tests just incase they missed anything but from personal experiance it just seems 2 be one of the more annoying symptoms of pcos! also if ur suffering from depression which i have also suffered from...it can make u sleep for ridiculous amounts of time...pcos is not a great thing 2 be dealing with when ur a teenager but with the right treatment..pain relief..u should be able 2 lead a normal life...i hope u have some luck with ur doc xx

Hello Amber i have had pcos since i was 18 and i am now 33, i went through stages of falling asleep even at work, or i just did not want to get up because of the pain,i put on weight and grew lots of hair, it was very hard to see myself changing, my doctor put me on the pill called dianette for a couple of week's just to get my hormones to settle down, then i went on to metformin ,reducil, and spronalactone and still on them,it is a drag but now even though i have pcos i am more healthy and i am never tired, i wish you all the very best take care

Amber, that all sounds normal for PCOS.
It's an estrogen-driven disease. For some reason, you most likely are not producing enough progesterone to oppose the estrogen.
Try supplementing with a natural progesterone cream. It will help with the hair loss, and the fatigue!
I recommend a cream that can be found here: http://www.ineways.com/shana
Also, pick up a copy of Dr. John Lee's book called "What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Premenopause". It will teach you a lot about balancing your hormones.

I by no skill had any breakouts or hair or something, I only began feeling extremely ill and drained and style of depressed all of the time, additionally my weight flunctuated lots so i desperate to bypass to the Dr. I had to bypass with the aid of like 2 blood exams and that they clinically determined me with PCOS. So only ask your well being care expert while you're frightened you have gotten it. yet another symptom could be lacking your classes or being fairly atypical, that still got here approximately to me.

maybe you should see a trichologist; this is a doctor that specializes in hair problems; (just like a dermitologist is a skin specialty doctor)
