I would suggest meeting people through friends. Other ways would be to start going to events that interest you, such as art galleries, bookstore happenings such as book signings or reading groups. Whatever interests you have, there are others who share these interests. Look in the newspaper for local events and go alone or with a friend.

The only safe place may be the net, and if you arrange a meeting make sure it's in a public place with plenty of Sober people around. Also making him come to your turf to a place where you are well known might work out as well. You don't have to tell him you're known, but he'll get the idea in time.

Well, I have met alot of different guys from the internet. I usually meet them in public places. But, before you meet them talk to them on the phone a couple of times and get to know them some.

i may suggest that all u can do is talk alot........get the best impression of them as u can.........for sure, probably never.....but use ur intuition......u will know, normally............and yeah.....dating services are way weak. good luck.
