Almost but not exactly. It's the tuff but sensitive-inside shtick ( in the mode of Marlon Brando and James Dean) that girls dig, because it is at once tuff and sexy and at the same time vulnerable and easily manipulated by their emotions.
That tuff-guy worshipping a goddess routine is hard to do and makes a man into a cynical casanova. But I guess you can follow that script if you're lonely enough...
"It is better to dwell alone in the wilderness than with an angry and a contentious woman," and that's exactly the kind of girl who wants the rude and "straight forward" macho shtick.

Any girl that will put up with a guy like that, has issues. Don't get me wrong, you can be straight forward, without the rudeness, but as far as beating girls up, that's unacceptable. He can have the toys.
