Quito, Equador is on the equator, but high enough altitude (2800 M) to not be hot. In Quito the temperature ranges from 7 degrees C at night to 26 C at noon, and averages 15 C.

Actually, pretty much everywhere. There are people all over the world...deserts, mountains, tropics, tundra, temperate forests, and plains...humans have a remarkable ability to adapt, so just about anywhere is hospitable. Antartica is pretty much the only place where people don't live...well, except in labs under the ice.

Your question is misleading. Some people just can't handle cold while hot and humid air makes others very sick. I don't think there is a single answer to your question, but my personal choice would be northern California, although Seattle would also be OK.
