for-too many ignorant people in the world now...

2006-09-28 15:57:48 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 1 5

Neither. There are situations and circumstances that I am totally against-using it as birth control instead of being responsible,partial-birth abortion,or anything outside of a few weeks after finding out.I think it might be ok if it compromises the mother's health,as long as it's done immediately.I cannot give a real answer either way because I have never made that choice and don't know if I could, for myself,so I certainly cannot decide what is best for others.

Definitely against. And I resent the user who said there were too many ignorant people. Abortion kills an unborn child. And even if you don't believe the baby is a baby yet, there are still a lot of medical problems that come with having an abortion.

Over one hundred potential complications have been associated with induced abortion. "Minor" complications include: minor infections, bleeding, fevers, chronic abdominal pain, gastro-intestinal disturbances, vomiting, and Rh sensitization. The nine most common "major" complications which are infection, excessive bleeding, embolism, ripping or perforation of the uterus, anesthesia complications, convulsions, hemorrhage, cervical injury, and endotoxic shock.

Sterility and ectopic pregnancy risks also rise after an abortion. Also, an "incompetent cervix" can occur, in which the mother is physically unable to carry a child.

There's a lot more, but that's the gist of it.

I'm for a woman's right to choose! However, I want to know why we don't hear more about sterilization. After I had that done, I had a scare, then I could have done it with a clear conciounce, because I had done everything to prevent it. That was not necessary. It was just a scare. Anyone who doesn't pack plastic & use it all the time is Stupid in my opinion. Do you know how many people cry Aids, that thought they were in a managomous relationship. I had more issues when I was married, than I ever did single! I'd also use the pill, or something else. There is so much on the market to prevent pregnancy. You've got the patch's, IUDs, etc. etc. I'm amazed at how irresponsible women are. And this falls on the female. She has the choice, and it's her responsibility to prevent it, in my opinion. In this day and age, with everything available for birth control, I don't think there is any excuse for an unwanted pregnancy. My tubes were tied, cut & burned. I took no chances. I was critized because I wasn't married, and it was the smartest thing I ever did. But Sterilization is like a Taboo word. People are ignorant. We should be talking about all the kinds of birth control and put the responsibility on the mothers to be responsible for their choices. This is no longer the old days, when there wasn't hardly any birth control. Not to mention you could carry aids to someone else, after you get it! A lot of women have kids just to get the money, and don't even take care of their kids. I know I take a harsh stand. I've made a lot of mistakes with my two kids, but I went to work to support them, & didn't care to do it on my own. We don't hear about the dead beat mothers. I messed up a lot. But I was never gonna loose my kids. Even a dog takes care of it's pups. If you don't want one, then Be Responsible, or you're not grown up at all. I can say "I'm having a kid". Get help for a year. Go to work. The man can't stop me. Afer that, cut the money off. You're on your own. I know a woman who had five abortions. Why? There is too much available. Make sterilizations free for God's sakes, they may still be, I don't know. There are too many unwanted kids already. But there's no excuse for stupid women. Women listen to men when they want a baby. Stupid. Stupid. The women have all the responsiblity. She'd better be completely ready to do it alone, at any time. For one time, help her out for a year to get on her feet. That's it. We can't force people, but we can tell it like it is. And I want to know why no one is ever talking about Sterilization? When will we wake up? I could barely handle two. I don't care if I were rich, kids need so much nuturing and emotional caring. I don't know how the poor women did it in the old days!!!!!And if I ever hear one more man say, "She didn't have to spread her legs", he should be slapped. He did his part, didn't he?

Personally, I could not have an abortion, but as an intelligent person, I understand that abortion has been going on since before the dark ages and DO NOT wish it to go back to those methods. Women will still get abortions just like they always have. Let's at least keep them safe.

I'm not here to judge anyone, because that's not my job. On the issue of abortion, I don't believe in it, but if it were a life or death situation and the baby had no chances of living and the mother did, if the pregnancy is terminated, then I couldn't blame any woman, for making that decision, to abort the baby. At least one of the two, stands a chance at living and hopefully, somewhere down the future, she'll be able to carry a healthy baby to term.

Very complicated and over asked question
I don't personally think someone should be allowed to bring a baby into the world if they are not capable of looking after it and providing adequate care for it, however, I do not like the idea of terminating life at any point post conception, especially if it were my own.
Some circumstances differ though.
If my partner was raped then I could fully understand her opting for a termination.
.....like I said a very complicated issue, and probably not even a question if you're staunch catholic

im against abortion, and i am wondering why americans can save animals, but allow the murder of innocent beings that should have been human in the first place
those who had sex,and got pregnant face the consequence, if abortions would be legal. more teenagers would be irresponsible because they think they can always get away with it
they could just go to a clinic and kill their child!!!

For. But against women you use it as an alternative to birth control. A condom, 50 cents. Abortion, 500 bucks, irrepairable damage to a woman's body and the death of a fetus? That's just too expensive for me.

Im for it but also against it

i do believe a woman should have a choice..but on the terms iof rape/incest.. abortion should be OK only in those circumstances.

im against it becuase i dont believe in killing an unborn child. i think you should take the consequences of getting pregnant..and learn some responsibility.
