My mom got the book back in the 70's from RD, but sent it back. I would like to find this online if I can for easy reference to the neat stuff in it, like tanning hides and making fur hats; making a woodshop, etc. I got an old Foxfire #1 volume which among other things tells how to make moonshine.

I'm not talking about buying the book, but finding it online. I searched RD before and it was not there, other than to plug their new version of it, which having read I don't like.

RD's website never offered a version of it at all. So nix on that suggestion. I thouight someplacve might haqve a website that had it on its page. I guess not. too bad you sacrifice the old ways to make room for something like this which has a less connection to the Land.

If you're looking for a quick reference, have you tried your local library?

Go to amazon.com Sometimes you can find old books there. There are people that sell them thru Amazon. I have found an old out of print cookbook there. Good Luck!
