Nothing, I think most cars can go as far as 7000 miles before you get an oil change, I was told by a nissan tech.

For Shame! TSK! TSK!, but seriously, a thousand miles over isn't going to cause the world to come to an end. At least you do realize it and keep up with your maintenance schedule, that's more than I can say for a lot of drivers. Have it changed when you can, no damage done, should be fine.

1000 miles late for oil change isn't likely to do damage, but get it changed now, and keep track for the future.

Man made rule, go for synthetic oil ( Mobil ) you will be happy you did. Easier to start in winter too.
