Since the word was spelled with a capital letter I am going to assume you dont mean the math abbreviation for sine, which would be a trigonometric function........that is the math part of my brain working

The Christian part of my spirit says you are referring to sin which is the result of the fall of humanity and all that God created when humans decided to choose their own way rather than God's way. Sin would refer to our inherent nature of being imperfect because we are flawed individuals without the Grace of God who saves us through his son Jesus Christ.....

Sin is not only the 10 commandments, in fact people who think that they are good because they dont do bad things, are still sinful because it is not a state of being that we have control over. Once we ate the fruit from that forbidden tree we became sin, and we remain sin until we ask Jesus into our hearts.....

If there is such a thing, it has nothing to do with imaginary gods and priests who say we have sinned, so that they collect a fee for getting forgiveness. It is simply hurting other humans. All of this silly stuff about sex, diet, etc. hurts no one, so it isn't sin to me. Whatever my lover and I do in our bedroom is no priest's business. Whatever I eat is based upon nutrition and taste, not priests' lists of acceptable foods. What ever I think is my business as well.

To me sin is defying God. God wants what's best for us and when we disobey him we're sinning.
