My boyfriend and I are together for 9 months.I want to move in with my him. I read that a high percentage of couples that live in together before marriage end up failing. My mother told me:"if you want to marry him, it's a mistake to move in. "So, what do you think? Should we move in together I am 27 and he is 30

NO DEFINITELY NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY BUY THE COW WHEN YOU CAN GET THE MILK FOR FREE. IT IS NOT WORTH IT. I LIVED WITH 2 MEN AND DATED THEM FOR YEARS, BUT DO YOU THINK EITHER ONE OF THEM COULD GET OFF THEIR HIGH HORSES AND MARRY ME? NO, SO I DO NOT AGREE IN LIVING TOGETHER. IF THIS GUY LOVES YOU THAT MUCH THEN MAKE HIM PUT A RING ON YOUR FINGER AND THEN TELL HIM YES AFTER YOU ARE MARRIED.

I think that all couples should live together some before they get married because you learn alot about a person when you're living with them. Some people just can't live together for different reasons and to find out that the two of you can't handle living together after you get married would be a shame. You've been together for nine months, but that doesn't say how serious you guys are. I'd say to just start off staying together for like a week at a time. If things seem to be going ok, then the two of you should consider moving in together. But definately do it before you get married.

go for it if the feeling is mutual between the both of you wanting to live together. You are both old enough to decide... and that is just hogwash with moving in together leads to not getting married. It could go both ways, you never really know someone till you live with them.... then you will know if he/she is marriage material... best of luck on a happy future

Yes, yes you should.

But from personal experience, I offer advice to you to wait another 3 months. Then, if you plan on marrying him in the future, ask for an engagement ring before you move in together.

I can't believe those statistics! You'd naturally believe it would make sense to live together, to see if you CAN live together, before you get married.

Good luck!

You need to do whatever it is that you think is right. I honestly believe that if you are thinking of marrying someone, you should live with them first. You never truely know a person until you try and live with them.

well maybe if you dont live together, he'll miss and want to marry you. If he know you really well, and you become friends, theres nothing to discover and possess..
[ thats just my opinion but i dont know, i'm inexperienced.]

your mum's stupid, sorry to say but she is.
its entirely upto you as to wether you move in with your BF, its your life and your thing.

If you want to move in with him then just do it, you wont look back.

sorry if the comment about your mum was abit harsh but I felt like I just had to say that.

cheers.
