I'm just wondering as my GF is a virgin and I am just wondering how I can ease any pain or make it more comfortable/bareable for her.
I guess what I'm asking is a 2 part question
1) does it hurt for a female when they have sex for the 1st time?
2) can anyone please give me some advice as to how I can make the whole experience more enjoyable and comfortable for her?

It does not always hurt the first time. Just remember to go slow and be patient, but I'm guessing since you asked this question and seem to honestly care, that you will. Spend lots of time in foreplay, caressing and kissing. This will make her more lubricated, ready and relaxed. Be sure to use some extra lube too as this will help things go smoother. Remember to communicate during the whole process! Good luck and be safe by wearing a condom!

It doesn't have to. My first time didn't hurt, it was actually some of the best sex I've had. You MUST use a water based lubricant like KY jelly - it will make everything soooo much easier and much more pleasant for her. And obviously make sure she is really up for it before you try and do it. It would help if there is no one else in the house either, you don't want that the thought of getting sprung distracting you. It sounds like you are a thoughtful and sensitive guy so I'm sure everything will go fine, seriously though, lubricant will make it heaps better for her. It will hurt her a bit. Just go slow and use a condom (ALWAYS) with a lubricant. You can buy it at any grocery or drug store.
Second part of my comment...how old is she? I know I sound like a 'mother' but if she's a virgin, THINK about this. You will be her first, and she will remember this forever. Take this step seriously. You sound like you have the capacity to be very understanding, but because many guys don't consider the gravity of the situation when it's a girl's first time, I just wanted to kind of mention that.

It's definately not the worst pain I've felt in my life, but it does hurt some. The best thing I know to tell you to make it more comfortable for her is to go slow, and be gentle. And if she looks to be in alot of pain or tells you to stop, then stop and try again another time.

honestly yes it does hurt the first time a girl has sex.. and to make her not be in pain and have a more enjoyable experience, jus go with whatever she says.. if she wants you to stop, stop.. if she wants you to slow down or go faster then do it.. it all depends on how your girlfriend feels when its happening.. wear a condom and good luck!

Awwww you really seem like a sweetheart. Most likely it will hurt her but show her tons of affection and take your time. Also pay attention to her expression and don't forget to ask her if she is okay, frequently. She your baby take care of her cuz this is major!

let her be on top, it hurts less, but if it's her first time it will most likely hurt a bit. It isn't the same feeling for every woman though, so just be gentle.

Every person is different. I don't remember my first time hurting, but my boyfriend took it really slow. So, just go slow and pay attention to her.
