if your a kid and want your carrer to be an major league baseball umpire what process do you have to go through

There are two Umpire Schools that the Major Leagues advertise on their site The Henry Wendelsted Umpire School and the Academy of Professional Umpiring. However the turnover rate for Umps in the Big Leagues are low so even if you make the cut and get a job in the minors it'll be a while until you will get into the majors. Plus it'll probally be a good idea to read over the rule book, its an interesting read if you are an insomniac

I think you pretty much have to start at the bottom, with high school games and such, and work your way up. Good luck!
