You will be sore for a week or two then have 4-6 weeks of take it easy but you are feeling ok time.. The most difficult part for me was the itching along the incision as it healed I found that Vitamin E oil really helped alleviate it...
You should pretty much feel yourself in 1-2 weeks

Did you choose to have a c-section? I had twins 1 year ago natural.I was asking for a c-section but my doctor suggest that i try it natural and if the one of the babys is breech i could get a section.I had them in an operating room just incase.Everything went smooth and i was walking the next day and feeling fabulous. Now with a section it will be painful to walk ,you will be extremely gassy,it is a surgeryso deffinatly a longer healing process comes along with a section.Good luck You will probably be fine once you have your boys the pain won't even matter.

FULL recovery can take months, or even years.
It takes a long time to get back your abdominal muscle strength and to remain painless when you're tired or have done something strenuous.
It also depends on how they close your incision.
My OB used Dermabond, which is surgical-grade Superglue, on me both times. I could shower right away, and I didn't need any wound care.
If you rest when you're able, stay on top of your pain meds, and try to be a little bit active every day, you can probably count on being over the worst of it two weeks later. Within a month, it probably will not hurt so badly to twist or roll over.
But everyone's recovery is a little bit different.
It will take longer to recover, for example, if you're on bedrest before the surgery, or if you have any complications.

You must have identical twins, or having other medical problems. I'm 30 weeks along with fraternal twins, and my OB wants me to go all the way to 36.
Your expected stay in the hospital is probably a week. Make sure that you have lots of home support for the two weeks after, when you go home.

My third child was a emergency c-section. I was in the hospital for 4 days at that time. When my son and I went home it took at least 6-8 weeks to start to feel like myself again. No climbing stairs of lifting. Get all the help that you can get and just take it easy when you get home. Best wishes on the birth of your babies.

Everyone's different! I was in hospital for three or four days, and was walking the halls, sloooowly, on the second day. Within a week and a half of being home, I was driving around. I was sore, but it was not debilitating.
One of my in-laws, however, was in bed for weeks, and complained of pain forever. I think she was just lazy and a hypochondriac, though!
Good luck!

18 years! No I'm just kidding but sometimes that is how it feels. I think it's usually 6-8 weeks. Good luck!
