I saw this guy at the store yesterday and he was wearing the most repulsive shirt I have ever seen. It was a black shirt with brown writing that said "Brown Pride" with the r's being upside down pistols to form an r. How and why would anyone think of wearing that shirt?!!? If I wore a White Pride shirt then I would be considered racist right? Why the double standard for white people?

Just so I don't get reported:
I am not racist whatsoever. I take people on case by case basis. If a black guy is being an asshole then he is an asshole just like if a white guy was being an asshole.

We are humans before anything. Why do people want equality when they continue to separate themselves?

Any (sane) ideas are welcome.

People, I said white pride not white POWER. And statement with the color of a persons skin and then power at the end is racist. It is putting other races below their own.

Sadly every ethnic group has its share of racists, fools, idiots, followers, clowns and rabble rousers.

This guy obviously falls into 1 or more of these groups. Me, I'd just chalk it up to another fool entitled to his opinion.

And yes, if you or I would wear a white pride shirt we would immediately be labeled a racist.

But who ever said life was fair. Beside, I doubt that anyone but white supremacists need to wear such shirts to feel pride in their ethnicity or heritage.

To limendoz...I resent your implication that by asking a question of clarification that make the asker or any white person a racist. Your intolerance of other people's opinions or asking reasonable questions tends to make be think that you just my be a racist. And don't even try to tell me that only white people can be racists. 1st I was married to a woman who was considered a minority. Also I have lived in countries where I was an ethnic minority and there was definite racism. So, expand your thinking and open your self to the possibility that you might just be wrong about ALL white people.

The colour of the skin is irrelevent, it is the person within that matters

The question you should be asking should be internal. Why do you care what that man thinks? Is his way of thinking going to effect the person that you are? If you aren't racist, then you can look at that shirt and think within yourself how glad you are that you aren't trapped in a world of hatred.

sadly white people are always veiwed as bein racist, even when other races do the same things, like as you said black people get away with sayin black pride yet a white person can never say white pride.

black guy stands up and yells "Black pride" people follow him and call him a leader of the cause

white guy stands up and yells "White pride" hes automaticlly attacked and called a racist or a bigot, or hes accused of bein unfair to othe races

trust me, we will never be equal, as no race will ever be willin to except equallity amongst other races, and the same can be sad for sexs as well, im all for men and wemon gettin the same wages, as long as your both doin the job hwo you should then you both get that money, but then that take it to far and start wantin specail benifets, same can be said for races in that, ok end rant its to long now haha

Nothing wrong with white pride either and make a shirt and wear one around people like him. We feel your pain and encourage you to get psych test if this offends you deeply

How can you claim to be "not racist whatsoever" while asking this question?
If you are white, the only way to be certain you are "not racist whatsoever" is to already know the answer to your question.
Meaning: If you have to ask-especially if you have to ask like that-then you are too biased to even want an answer.

The next time you see someone wearing a shirt like that, ask them what it means. Or better yet, ask a brown person what it means when someone wears that shirt.
Then when you understand, ask yourself what white power means.
