You sure can. It requires quite a bit to get the volume, air compressor and tank, etc. Have I got a site for you! Check out the videos of their own Mercury Marauder. It's hilarious.

Yes but it is not recommended. You would need an air compressor installed in your car. Big rigs horns are air horns. It can be done.....But when you hit your horn people will be looking for a big truck and not you when you hit it. Also Big rigs have 2 horns. One which is called an air horn for highway use. The other is just like the one in your car and called the city horn. Truck drivers are not supposed to use the air horn in the city because of noise pollution. If you do get a compressor, and an air horn in your car you could be fined for using it in populated areas. They do make louder regular car horns though. One of the brand names are Highway Blaster. But will sound like a loud car horn and not a big rig

Yes, Iv dont it twice. I have a Wolo Powerhouse 115Db Air Horn as a secondary horn in my Saturn and a Hornblasters Locomotive Train Horn Kit as my only horn in my 73 Chevy pickup.

Wolo Powerhouse 115Db Air Horn uses a small electric pump for air and dosent require alot of space.
Hornblasters Locomotive Train Horn Kit uses a small air tank with electric air compressor, 4 plastic horns, and is 148db at 100psi. This setup requires alot of space. I will be upgrading this to a 5 gal tank and a better compressor.

The truck horns you're referring to is called an "air horn" for a reason. It's powered by compressed air.

Guys do it, but what's the point.

If you have more dollars than sense, drop me a line and I'll give you an address to send it to.
