The Peabody is sold out on the dates we will be there. What' s the next best place? Looking for around $150/night.

Amera Suites!!!
My son and, I spend Xmas in Memphis every year. We stay here for like $150.00 - $180.00 (+tax) a WEEK!!!
Our suite offeres a kitchette, complete with dishes, pots n' pans, etc., lounge/bedroom area!!! Very ez access to major highway that circles the whole city!!!
First year we went...We did the high $$$ hotel...Was a terrible experience!!! Add fact they overbooked...We ended up in 3 dif' hotels in a 2 week period!!!
Would NEVER even consider the high $$$ hotels/motels again!!!
The Peabody is ok...As far as a tourist attraction, 'specially if ya' a duck, LOL!!!...But, NOT worth the $$$!!! Consider how much time ya' actually spend in a hotel/motel room???
Another very nice alternative is German Town/Collierville, subs of Memphis.
I've done some ratings on dif' places in Memphis on my 360 page...We luv' it down there!!! We are looking to move there, ASAP!!!

The Peabody by all means The rich history of the hotel and the ducks, get a room with a river view.

there is a guy that has nices houses or apartments for rent by the night on www.vrbo.com
these are great... also try staying in south haven ms just outside memphis there is a great drury inn there

There's also a Hampton Inn & Suites near Beale Street, but I'm not sure how much it costs per night. Good luck!

i would've stayed at the peabody,but there was a convention and i got stuck by the airport on la mar blvd.(driver said it was known as "crack alley")make sure you get booked before you go,have fun.

Graceland is $99 a night for a double bed room, sofa, kitchenette....at the Heartbreak Hotel. Niiiice place too!
