Our awsome history of rock like AC/DC, Midnight Oil and INXS all the way to modern rock like Jet and The Living End have influenced American music to a massive degree. The Sweedish punk scene like Millencolin and The Hives have also played a major role in shaping tunes being pumped out of America.

Aside from the countries named, which I agree has influenced much of our mainstream music, The music here is mostly influenced by the various regions here.
I don't see any major contributions to mainstream music from any other country other than what is named in the question.

Well, world comes from Africa, Latin comes from Mexico, Argentina, Panama, Brazil, and etc., and Gospel, Jazz, and R&b were all started by African Americans. So in a way, they all come from Africa to. Ireland? Jamaica?

I am into heavy metal and some of the best metal comes out of Norway. The Norwegian death metal scene is huge. If you are into that sort of thing.
