she should go for a soft flat look since she's got fairly thick hair. Softening up the hair will give it body and make it less tough looking. In going with a soft look that also means soften the make up as well to lip gloss that's applied just right and throw some hoop earrings and she's got a nice look right there it's not looking too out there, but just right and it's easy to style. Make sure the hair products she uses doesnt weigh her hair down or dry it out. You want something that will bring out her natural beauty.

this may take some time depending on the thickness of her hair, but it's fairly easy. when her hair is wet, use some kind of straightening gel or leave-conditioner. portion by portion, using a round brush, blow dry her hair straight. this will actually add body to her hair. i would part her hair asymetrically in the front, giving her "sexy" bangs. (don't worry, dad, it's just a term. it's actaully very age appriate)
just as a side note, kudos to you for taking such and interest in your daughter and playing both roles. i wish more men were like you. good luck w/ whatever hairstyle you chose.

You could always do two french braids. Or if your short on time just take the top half of haid and put them in pigtails. If you need it all up try a bun upside down near the top of her head and if you have any jell, stick a LITTLE on to make a featherd look. Personally my fav look for a little kid is a side ponytail. Good Luck.

Have her take a shower tonight and braid her hair tight. It doesn't have to look good, spray it light;y w/hairspray. The next morning take it out and it will be all crinkly and cute.If it's poofy rub a very small amount of gel or mousse on the top hair. Put half up if it looks better. cost : nothing!

When I was 13 I really liked crinkling my hair, you do it by using a special iron that you can buy at a department store by the curlers.
They aren't too expensive either, between 15 and 25 dollars.

FIRST of all her hair could probably use some volume she should get some volume enhancing moose! that should give her a Lil more bounce but if she wants to do something drastic she should wait a Lil longer shes young and her hair might get damaged she should really think about it.

A good idea is to curl it with moose. Curly dirty blonde hair looks great I'm sure she will look beautiful.

u could do like french braid pigtails. it's cute without making her look like a 4 year old. Or just straigten it, and leave a curl on the bottom. When all else fails, go for the messy bun.

i have 3 daughters. they like to have crimpt hair. you don't need to buy an iron. just braid her hair. less braids make larger waves. more braids make a tighter waves. just wet, braid, and sleep or blow dry. my oldest just bought super rollers, they cost $7 for ten, at SALLY"S beauty supplies. the twins like ribbons. at times we'll temp dye their hair. there is spray, brush on, and semi- temp. ( which washes out in like maybe 6-7 washes) and don't harm the hair. especially with lighter hair because you don't need to lighten it. hope this works. everybody has different rules & budget. have fun!!
