a couple of years ago a team from cincinnati beat my hs alma mater in texas. i dont remember what the score was but it was some kind of preseason game for last years state champs. i will give props to the cincinnati team. naturally i didnt go to the game. yes there is a debate. texas is better by far excluding that game. imagine if the top 100 players in texas all signed with texas universities instead of going out of state. the best rb in the nation is from palestine, tx but plays for oklahoma. lsu had a qb who was their bowl games mvp last year and he's the backup. missouri is 4-0 and their starting qb won three state titles in texas. the talent of Texas HS players is spread out across the nation in colleges a lot cant be said about Ohio.

Did you catch the score from last summer's Big 33 game. I was there. The Pennsylvania's best high school players routed Ohio something like 62 to 30. At this point the bragging rights belong to Pa. Excluding strong opinion from Texas, California, or Florida.

Tennessee high school football ranks right in there with texas, california, and Florida. I know of a couple of schools in different classifications that have won many state championships in a row. look up Maryville, Alcoa, Riverdale, Oak Ridge, Cleveland, and Dobyns Bennett. Riverdale and Maryville is ranked in the top 10 25 in the Nation. Maryville has something like a 90 game winning streak . they have only lost 2 games since 2000.these are just some of the many powerhouses in the state of tennessee

Best HS football is Texas.

TX, Cali and FL all have you beat. They are the hot beds of recruiting. The OH area and surrounding states probably are the next group.
