Weird question. Everybody has a culture, and every culture has a subculture. As you are so wont to segregate people by skin color the answer lies in this definition from www.dictionary.com: "the sum total of ways of living built up by a group of human beings and transmitted from one generation to another," and that's only one of the meanings. Yes, white people have cultures, generally dependent upon their background and ancestry. If you are talking about people in the USA, you forget this is a so-called melting pot in which we are comprised of numerous cultural backgrounds. For instance, a person with an Anglo-Saxon lineage perhaps will have a somewhat different way of living from a person with a German lineage. On the other end of the chromatic scale there are many variant ways of living.. There is no race-specific culture anywhere. Culture, as you call it, is just a matter of how people are brought up. Allow people to be different and stop trying to give special rights just because they look different.

I believe the word you're looking for is heritage or ancestry, not culture.

Culture can be defined as: The behaviors and beliefs characteristic of a particular social, ethnic, or age group.

It is impossible to NOT have culture as long as you're living. All of the things a group does in society makes up culture.

As for your family background, in a lot of cases there have been so many family members from different areas of the world that it would be hard to identify them. It's not like Irish people only marry other Irish people. You might be able to generalize and say that your family heritage is made up of European decent-- but as for specifically idenitifying countries it's a little too far down the line for that.

Well, all I know is that I know exactly where my family came from and my family and I have our own traditions and celebrations. I'm Irish, English, Scottish, Dutch and Cherokee Indian. I'm extremely proud of my heritage and wouldn't change it for anything. I wouldn't say white people don't have a culture, it's just that caucasians are so predominent today, and a lot have lost touch with their origins.

White people were surrounded by people who were so different that suddenly, all the white people weren't so different from each other anymore. Soon they started intermingling and breeding together, and they ended up with kids who were german, irish and french...

There are a lot of white folks who did hang on to their European identity... but -
'American' was enough of an identity/culture for most. At one point in time, being American was something to be proud of, and it meant something - really.

Caucasians have plenty of culture - from all over the world. Western Europe (Irish, French, English, Norwegian, Swiss, etc.), Easter European (Russian, Polish, Albanian, Slavic, etc.), Mediterranean (Greek, Italian, Spanish, etc.), Australian, New Zealand, South Africa, Canadian, etc...you get the point.

Each one of those countries have their own history, culture, languages, dialects, food and everything else that any country has.

White people come from many different places in the world. And what is a culture? Thanksgiving is that not part of white American culture, and what of the immigrants of white heritage...Italians, Greeks, Croatians, Russians, French, etc.

Also I'm from Canada, here we keep our heritage and are still Canadian. There is no melting pot. I'm white, of Eastern European decent, raised in Montreal,Quebec Canada (therefore I also speak french) and I feel my culture is all of the above.

Stick around awhile, you will see eventually that everyone has some sort of cultural background. Outside of the Bible, Hollywood movies have influenced world culture more than anything else.

Sure they do. There is the Redneck culture. You ain't from here, are you?

Culture I've seen is based on large families sticking together and living close to each other so they can do things for each other.

Most whites don't have large families and often prefer to avoid family gatherings.

The reason why white americans have no culture is due to the fact that they weren't busy thinking about making a culture for themselves when the British ancestors came to america. Unlike us black folks, the reason why we have a worthwhile and popular culture today is due to the fact that us black folks were smart enough to bring over as much of our West African cultural traditions when were slaves and now after 500 years of slavery, look what our cultural traditions have evolved into. If you want to have a worthwile culture like us black americans, use some of your cultural traditions from your European ancestry combined with technology to help make it like us blacks and Wallah! Good Luck!
