9th grade powerpoint presentation?

i am in the 9th grade, and am only slightly familiar with microsoft powerpoint. we have the program in school, but i don't have it on either of my home computers, and i need to have a presentation done by next thursday.

i ask of you either ideas on how i can get powerpoint on my home computer or places where i could go to use this application..(would a public library have it?) because my school does not let me stay late to finish my assignment.

also, if anyone has any specific suggestions on how i can make my powerpoint more interesting or stand out more, please feel free to do so, im lacking in the creativity area. but try to explain, in detail, what it is that i would have to do to perform the task. haha. oh, and by the way, the topic of my slideshow is the band KoRn, if that helps at all. haha. well, i appreciate all the help! thanks! - rachel

You have to install Microsoft Office. You can get the student edition a little cheaper. It has Powerpoint,Excel,Word etc. It's difficult to explain all the things you can do to your slides because there's so much you can do. If you want to give it some pizazz insert clipart, make the words on each slide dance, Hopefully someone else will come along and give you more specific details.The library probably has it and someone can show you how to use it.

i think you might need the microsoft cd to install powerpoint on your computer! unfortunately, you can't download it. maybe ask your parents to buy it from compUSA or something? internet places usually have microsoftword and micrsoft powerpoint. to make yours stand out more, instead of just plain colored backgrounds, you can use images! and also make the images move around and make sure the slideshow is automatic instead of you having to click it. be creative. add songs! add animations. you can paste animations onto the powerpoint and it will play
