I understand about the floors falling in the buildings that got hit by the planes, but wasn't the other building really far away? What exactly happened to building 7 that it got destroyed? Did terrorists bomb it or something?

oh for heaven's sake! I don't have any theories, conspiracy or otherwise. I am asking to find out what happened, because I don't know. why are people on this site so rude??

It was severely damaged by all the debris that fell from the other towers, as were most of the buildings in the area. Here's a link to a site that has photos of building 7, after the damage and prior to the collapse.

No terrorists actually bombed Trade Center 7. The official story from the 9/11 Commission Report is that debris from Trade Centers 1 and 2 started fires in the building that caused it to collapse.
Others have brought attention to that fact that the building was too far away form the two towers for this to be true, and that fire, especially one one side of the building, would not have made the building fall in the way it did.
It is true that the debris strated fires in Trade Center 7; the main controversy is over the buildings actual collapse and its contents during the collapse.
Trade Center 7 was a headquarters of the IRS. Almost very source of evidence that could have pointed out some major companies for fraud was destroyed in the collapse.
All of this could be a coincidence though. I am no conspiracy theorist.

Some would argue that the owner of Building 7 (Who incidentally also owned both North and South towers) "pulled" the building to cash in on multi-billion dollar insurance policy.
By the way "pulling" a building is demolishion speak for for a controlled demolition. It's also argued by some "consipiracy theorists" that all 3 buildings were deliberately brough down in a complex and demonic plan to garner acceptance for a war in Iraq and the Middle East as a whole. There's lot of internet documentaries out there ("Loose Change") that speak to all of these issues. Check them out. I'm not saying I agree with them, but they are interesting.

Larry Silver stein has clearly stated on television,"They pulled it down".Pulling it down means with EXPLOSIVES.He was the owner or lease holder he knows it the most.
