The christian right love Walmart, yet in CHina you can't be christian or worship God in the open, or be a capilitist or a catholic or Baptist, but people don't care about the children slavery that these companies use there? Why?

Cause this Walmart shopper is a single mom on a tighter then tree bark budget. I have to scrimp and save and truth be told they have everything I need right in my budget.

People are strange and are creatures of habit.
It is easier and more convenient to shop at Wal-Mart because you can do one stop shopping, and the prices are competetive, generally speaking. Not too many years ago Wal-Mart prided themselves on the logo 'buy American," but with the influx of Dollar stores and other discount stores, it became a corporate decision to branch off the buy American theme, and go for a better bottom line. Unfortunately, many Americans feel they get a bigger bang for the buck buying from Wal-Mart. Some are just too ignorant to know many other stores offer as good of quality items for the same price or less.
Along with all of this, the plain truth is many Americans don't give a damn that the shoes they are wearing were made in countries where the top wages are pennies a day.

because when you want to get something you want it.

When you are looking to buy a cheap piece of furniture, you'd have to be really anal to say.."oh no, well, this is made in..........so I won't buy it, lets go some place else"

You can't make a difference, it's too easy just to get what you need and worry about more important things.

And besides, child laborors aren't looked at so negativly in their own context.

they earn much needed money for very poor families..

It may not be right and in America we say how terrible, but in those poor place it helps more then it hinders.

roll with the punches as they would say

I don't know of any other way to exploit communist Chinese slave labor. If you can come up with an even cheaper way, let me know! And to say I don't care about these people is unreasonable. Do you think they'll be better off if we don't buy their stuff?

Ummm, because its part of our tradition to encourage free trade I believe. The pennies they make there should balance out in order to live in their economy. Free trade is not exclusive to only those we happen to agree with.
