It could be laundry soap or softener residue that browned over time.

It maybe sap from the wood or rusted nail heads from the furniture. Best bet is to line your drawers.

depends on the size and shape, if it is like in the fabric and like a drop from food, a oily stain in clothes can discolor, but if it is a bump, and dark brown... bug droppings... sorry to have to tell you this.
