Your pediatrician is the best person to recommend a formula for your child. He will be able to determine any special requirements, and while he may or may not recommend a particular brand, he will give you choices.

I loved the Nestle Good Start. If you go to verybestbaby.com(Good Start Website)they will give you checks for 11 dollars off your formula . My son would always have a bowel movement with this kind. I also have just started using the Natures Only Toddler Formula which I really like, because is organic and it doesn't smell horrible like the Enfamil that I have to use, because of that is all WIC will pay for. The reason it is rated for Toddlers is because they would like you to breastfeed your child for the first year, so you may want to talk to your doctor first before using it.

I used Similac when my son came home because that is what they gave him in the hospital, but switched to Enfamil because Similac made his tummy hurt.

Either EnFamil or Good Start. Babies can tend to get diarhea with Similac, and an upset tummy.

Good Luck and may God Bless you and your baby...

Neither of my kids could keep similac or enfamil down, so we used Good Start, and they both did great on it.

Why switch at all? The AAP recommends breastfeeding exclusively for the first six months. (By exclusively, they mean breastmilk is the only thing that goes into baby's mouth -- no water, no juice, no solids.) After that, you can introduce solids and baby starts to nurse a little less, although breastmilk should still be the main form of nutrition for the first year. If you're planning to go back to work, you should give pumping some serious consideration. Your baby will thank you for it!

Good Start was recommended by my nurse, and thankfully he took it from the start. Because I hated pumping , when I was away from him he would get the formula, Good Start is supposed to be easy on their stomachs. But I'm sure they are all good because they all need to meet the same standards. You may have to try one until he/she takes it. Who knows the baby might prefer one over the other. I would suggest buying a can of the concentrated liquid and see if he/she takes that, before investing in a whole case or can of powder.

I am sure that all 3 are good. I chose Similac and had no problems so it worked the best for us.
