How would I graph y = sin1/2x ? What would be on my x and y axis? And where would the points go? And if you don't mind, how did you get your answer? Please help, thanks.

graph sin(x) with a period of pi instead of 2pi

If I recall correctly, the sin graph look something like a wave, and start in (0,0), goes curve, up to (1,1), then goes down to (2,0), and keep goes down to (3,-1), then up to (4,0), and keep going in this cycle, please see http://www.analyzemath.com/Graphing/sine2.gif.

the 1/2 will actually narrow the graph, which means the peak would only get to 0.5 and -0.5, never goes beyond.

My explanation sucks, hope its help

for a graph, go to http://www.calculator.com/calcs/GCalc.html

type in sin((1/2)x) then click enter on the keyboard.
