You could take fibercon tablets morning and night and make sure to stay hydrated and eat plenty of vegetables.
Seriously, drink a lot of water!

that was 6 years ago if you had polyps you should have one yearly.to answer your question it could passably get a diagnosis or maybe you need more fiber.anyway chronic constipation can be caused by a number of things with your Colon and can cause a number of things to go wrong, so go get your test sleep the rest of the day after and find out if any thing is wrong.

Colonoscopy is the minimally invasive endoscopic examination of the large colon and the distal part of the small bowel with a fiber optic camera on a flexible tube passed through the anus. It may provide a visual diagnosis (e.g. ulceration, polyps) and grants the opportunity for biopsy of suspected lesions. Virtual colonoscopy, which uses 3D imagery reconstructed from computed tomography (CAT) scans, is also possible, as a totally non-invasive medical test, although it is not standard and still under investigation.

In people without medical problems, the main intervention is the increase of fluids (preferably water) and dietary fiber. The latter may be achieved by consuming more vegetables and fruit, whole meal bread and by adding linseeds to one's diet. Rarely
Laxatives may be necessary in people in whom dietary intervention is not effective or inappropriate. In various conditions (such as the use of codeine or morphine), combinations of hydrating (e.g. lactulose or glycols), bulk-forming (e.g. psyllium) and stimulant agents may be necessary. Many of the products are widely available over-the-counter.

Enemas occasionally used for hospitalized patients in whom the constipation has proven to be severe,In alternative and traditional medicine, colonic irrigation, enemas, exercise, diet and herbs are used to treat constipation.

Constipation is usually easier to prevent than to treat. The relief of constipation with osmotic agents, i.e. lactulose, Polyeythleneglycol(PEG), or magnesium salts, should immediately be followed with prevention using increased fiber(fruits and vegetables) and a nightly decreasing dose of osmotic laxative. With continuing narcotic use, for instance, nightly doses of osmotic agents can be given indefinitely (without harm) to cause a daily bowel movement

Try the same laxatives you used to prep for the colonoscopy. They go through you like dynamite.

An even better idea is to eat a diet with a lot of fiber, drink loads of water, and head for the toilet as soon as you feel the urge instead of waiting for a later more convenient time.

I would see your doctor so that he can give you a colonoscopy due to the chronic constipation.

yes everyone needs eventually to have a colonoscopy--they medicate you well so you feel nothing..most gastro docs will tell you to use metamucil everyday-also lots of people use an easy cure---for dessert everynight-- a bowl of applesauce & mix in a tablespoon of raw bran---give it a try....if you continue to have problems you should see a gastro doc and you may need another colonoscopy just to be safe....

There are tablets etc you can buy at Chemists and pharmacists.
However, it may be a good idea to get a doctors opinion before doing anything. You could be allergic to certain tablets.

minimizing your dairy products and maximizing your good oil intake. i would suggest olive oils.

you don't need another colonoscopy unless the previous screening showed reasons for having another within the normal time period of 10 years.

i am not a poop specialist, however, i did stay at a holiday inn express last night!
