an easy an effective on is to show that plants seek light.
get a long cardboard box and and cut one side away and then add dividers in the box that almost go from top to bottom.
Put the first divider on the top and finish it about 2 inches before the bottom, the second divider starts at the bottom and finishes before the top and the third has a gap at the bottom like the first one. Leave spaces between the dividers so in the end you have something that looks a bit like a maze
you plant a fast growing plant seed in a pot on the left hand side and make sure that the box is sealed and that the only source of light is from the right (you must remember to water the plant). The plant will grow in a curve, up and down avoiding the barriers till it reaches the light. This is called photosensitive.

I took milk cartons and punctured them with holes at different levels. I covered the holes with tape and then filled the containers with water. I took off the tape and saw how far the water would spurt from each bottle.
