I'm just wondering if that's a possibility because I'm thinking now that a career is IT is what I really want to go into because I love working with computers?

It takes more than love to get IT jobs - employer's want experience or education. You might be able to get a Help Desk position or a Network Admin job but you'll have to show sufficient prior experience or technical coursework. As this is a highly competitive field, and advanced degree such as Masters in Computer Science or an MBA with technology as a core component is usually required.
