Yes it is. In fact this last episode. They used lines from sex and the city. Even one of the actors the guy who played on Sex and the City as Trey Mc Dougal. Well he is Bree's fiancee. And they haven't had sex. And Gabriel said before you buy a car you have to take it for a spin. Which Samantha quoted that when Charlotte did not have sex with Trey before they got married. Even Bree is a up tight and a neat freak like Charlotte. But Bree is more psychoatic. Charlotte was adorable being who she was. And there is no way Desparate Housewives will be comparable with Sex and the City. No matter how much they try.

Except for the fact that they all have or had kids and husbands. And live in the suburbs.
Sex and the City was just a rip off of Golden Girls anyway.
