Yes, it can be done. Basically you will be able to put on your resume that your education is equivalent to blah blah.

In some cases it can help you find jobs. Because it is easier for employers to understand with your formal trainings stated in terms they can understand. However, I would say, in most cases it makes no difference in job searching. Employers always feel that they are taking risks with someone who has had local experience.
