Lord Krishna to Arjuna, "Now listen. as regards ourselves and all these kings and others who have gathered here, it is not true to say that they will live long or meet with sure death. If you get rid of your delusion, you will realise that it is not so. What we see as birth and death are due to illusion, Maya; otherwise the entity which really exists is indestructible (101-105). Look if the wind produces ripples on the water, can we say that something is really produced? And when the wind ceases and the water becomes flat, what is it that has ceased? Think over it. "

oh! dear Jo, you make me think, jk is on the look out of those various ideas and interpretations on the theme the Spirituality and jk is very much fascinated by the narrations of Santh Jnaneswar on Bhagavad Gita (which is one of the most popular narration and widely accepted interpretation of Gita). jk also would like to see how the different scholars and public interpret the Same. Variety is an aspect of Divinity and we all like it. Had there been no variety the whole world would have been an actionless, colourless and motionless still pic. so let ther be pulls and counter pulls, and underneath let's all see the Divine Hand.

For the time being let's all see all those different aspects of Gita as envisaged by different scholars and ponder where our thoughts fit into ..

luv and SAI RAM,
jk

probably here is an example of illusion. Actually the link above takes you to Jnaneswari, one of those most famous and widely accepted interpretations of Bhagavad Gita. probably same is the illusion with Sai Baba . if you are not ready to remove the ash well, you may never be able to see THAT Fire beneath

What the lord said is true. Earlier came the twins Nara and Naraayana , then came Krishna and Arjuna, after that came Sri Ramakrishna and Vivekananda. Before proceeding further i would like to point out the similarities. Sri Rama Krishna's parents were in Gaya on a pilgrimage. The lord of gaya sri vishnu appeared in their dream and told them about his birth as a son to them. When the child was born it was given the name of Gada dhara which is the name of lord of Gaya. After some time another child was born in calcutta in the house of dutt. The child was named Narendra nath. So narayana and Nara came together
once again for redemption of Dharma. so also they will come together in future. As far as lesser beings we keep on coming again and again in different bodies and the cycle continues. I went read nadi and it said in your previous birt you were born on the bank of river Narmada. It answered a question in my mind as to why Iam so fond of river Narmada in this birth also?
Saint Kabir saw a butcher about to slaughter a calf . hHe requested the Butcher to let the calf go. The butcher would not and asked Kabir in what way he was concerned for the calf?
Kabir toched the forehead of the calf and it said to the butcher"my son I was your father so dont slughter me"

I notice the link goes to a SaiBaba site and he doesn't particularly impress me so I'll pass on the link, thanks, but I do like the question. If we believe God had no beginning nor will have an end and all that exists is of Him it leads to reason that we too had no beginning nor shall we have an end. Maya refers to an attachment to the physical realm, which is an illusion in the sense that the material realm is merely a phase of spiritual life. The physical body is a temporary vehicle of expression for the soul. That certainly doesn't mean our essence ceases to exist when we are no longer in that vehicle. Like a ripple on the lake, our bodies serve a purpose for a time then cease to any longer and disappear from this physical vision.

Water just as lucid as wind funny how that works out

Maya is the illusion that makes us think we are separated from God. I am not God, but every part of my being is made up of Gods' mind and being ... therefore I am god except for the fact that I am not God.

i'm thinking your question is mere illusion, but that's not fun.

do you remember the day you were born and what it was like? I didn't think so.

ask your mother if your birth was an illusion.
