I wish I knew what insturment you were playing but hopefully I can help. Try thinking about what your trying to express in your song and then create what that might sound like. Another idea is to change the key your playing to another key. Try adding new elements or insturments. Turn on your radio and listen to a type of music you would never listen to or something you don't particularly like and get inspiration. good luck

Try finding a new chord, one that you've never played before.
And then build a song around that..it worked for me!
