You are a smart person...Adult stores make very good money for the owners. You must have been doing your homework.

You must watch your zoning laws for adult stores so start there.
Contact a number of different suppliers of adult materials etc.
Put together a very good business plan showing that you know what you are attempting. If you do not have the funds necessary to purchase a beginning inventory then you will need to find someone or some banking institution to loan you the starting money. Small business loans are good but you must prove you do not need the money. Stupid I know but that is what I ran into.

Rent a store front where you can set it up and get your inventory coming in.

You could make a bundle.

Tough to get the license. Really savvy business folks have to fight hard to get one open, and to keep it open. "LOVE" is a four letter word, to most of the prudes in Zoning and Code ...

Unless, you are in Amsterdam, and speak the language, or in Denmark, etc. But, in most of Europe, "SEX" shoppes are next to every bakery, and bakeries are a dime a dozen! That is where the real money is at! $4.00 of ingredients can make you almost $8.00 of product!

Truth is, it is a dog eat dog world, and, whatever you are selling, the real deal is that the landlord gets paid, the suppliers get paid, the employees get paid, the taxes get paid, the utilities get paid, the licensing authority gets paid, and, the owner gets the tiny remnants... if any... I have had businesses in five nations on three continents, and, in five states...

Sex store? That's illegal !! Oh adult video store. Yea check zoning. Better go to your town or city hall and find out if and where you can do that. Many places won't allow ( zoning) = don't want adult stores. Check with the powers to be first.

Check zoning regulations.

You may not be able to open a store, or may be forced into certain areas of town
